Celebrating Public School Week with my four public schools. These are current photos of the schools.
When I attended (1) Central Elementary - it was The Elementary School. This building was the entire school for my Dad, from eighth - twefth grade and for my Mom in her senior year.
Another sign of the strange times we live in, celebrating a day of numbers. You would think we might need to get out more, Oh, but then that is true.
Still it i is hard to believe we are 22 years into this century. The strange gift of being born in the middle of a cneture is expercing two centuries.
Today was a snow day, a day we were well prepared for. But it rained and sleeted the night before, so the roads and driveways were dangerous.

After a blistery hot spring and summer, it finally feels like fall here.
A few years ago, on a road trip thought the Hill country, I drove through Dublin, the home of Dr Pepper. When I saw this statue, I had to stop and take a photo. Dr Pepper was a mainstay our home. While we always had enough that we weren’t faced with ‘sharing’ a bottle, this still reminds me of those days with my Dad.
In one of my last years of working, my organization held a barbecue luncheon to honor Juneteenth.
