I was attracted to this book because…I wanted to read more of Dorothy Sayers works. I enjoy reading about women in society.

This book was about - Two essays on women in society. One was given as a speech in 1931. These are Sayers observations on the state of women. Central to her reflections is her conviction that both women and men should first be considered as human beings.

Things I liked about this book I would have been so encouraged to have read Ms. Sayer’s words when I was a teenager. She speaks in such a wise way about our roles as women. Sayers was a lay theologian and Christian apologist. Her insights are intelligent and heart felt.

Why you should read this book In this book, you are exposed to the thoughts of one of the first women to graduate from Oxford University. This is one of the few places where we have her thoughts on feminism. This book provides great insight in the struggles for women 80-90 years ago and judge how much progress we have made since.

This book lived up to the back cover copy This book did not disappoint from what was shared on the back copy.
