Considering gratitude…
6 So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 1 Peter 1:6-7
What could one be more grateful for… family (some who are no longer with us) whipped cream topping and football?
Last week, I was taken with a webinar speaker who suggested we should change the preposition in the phrase, “I’m thankful for.”
‘For’ almost always implies a material object. She challenged us to change the preposition this year to widen our consideration of our gratitude.
Some suggestions
I’m thankful after…
I’m thankful among…
I’m thankful of…
I’m thankful since…
I’m thankful with…
Which preposition is the most challenging one for you during this week of gratitude?
