Seeking Sage Newsletter - Love - Fourth Week of Advent

4th week of Adent

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13,NIV

Love is the only thing which will get us through the predictions for the next few weeks. And keeping our focus on Jesus.

I’ve been reading about owls this week. Many species change mates for each breeding season. But the author did follow one family through one breeding season. What a great story of expressed love as the father worked so hard to keep the mother and the chicks feed. Then, as the oldest chicks were ready to learn to fly and hunt, the father was taken by a larger predator owl. They found the mother on a branch away from the chicks her eyes dulled and sunken in grief. The author and her co-worker brought mice to fed the mother and chicks until the chicks were ready to leave.

Such great love in the midst of grieving.

How are you keeping your eyes on Jesus during this holiday week?
