Waiting, you would think I’d be a pro at it by now. As of today, I’ve published 300 episodes of the Adventures of My COVID-19 Rabbit. The lockdown started 7 days before that.
This time has given me a whole new perspective of waiting. Oh, I had years of the excitement of waiting for the first day of school. Waiting for some life event. Waiting for the birth of a new family member.
I’ve waited for trains to pass. I’ve waited for traffic jams to clear.
I’ve waited for heath test results. Waited for SAT results. Waited for acceptance letters. I’ve waited for packages. I’ve waited for promotions.
And I’ve waited at the side of Mother and Father’s bedsides for their last breathe.
After the last ten months of waiting, you would think I have this down.
Now, I’m waiting for my dog’s last breathe. I’m waiting for the vaccination schedule.
Most of all, I’m praying I’m not just waiting for life to return. How about you?
