Say the welcoming word to God—“Jesus is my Master”—embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. Romans 10:9, The Message
Here are some things you can say to God to respond to the wonderful things He has done for you. Jesus did all the work. He is waiting for you.
I know nothing I have done has brought me true satisfaction. It always seems like I’m missing something, like there is an empty hole somewhere deep inside of me. Maybe it is You. I know I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. I believe His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me.
Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you. Revelation 3:20, The Message
