As a boomer, society encouraged the value of individual effort.

I have two cats. I hoped the second cat would be a pal for the older cat, but they haven't bonded. 

My older cat seems to be unhappy most of the time. She just hasn't found how to fit into my life. 

She loves to help by grabbing the pages as they come out of the printer or by setting a record for pulling all the quilting pins from a pin cushion.

My pets include a collie mix named Penny. I brought her into our family in about 2006 from the local shelter to be a friend to my older dog, Blue. They were best friends from the moment they saw each other. Unfortunately, we lost Blue in 2014 at the age of 14. 

 I enjoy reading about and doing all kinds of fabric art.
