I'm a Vintage Mid-Century, a Writer, a Texan and a Jesus-follower.
I enjoy the UT Longhorns, fabric art, writing and books. I write fiction.
I grew up in Duncanville, Tx, which gives me a sense of small town life. Yet the nearness of Dallas, brings the benefits of a large metroplex into my frame of reference. We were a 3A school at that time, and there was this amazing assumption that we weren't able to learn at the same level as the 4A schools. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in government. I spent 35 years working in Information Technology.
In 2013 my parents moved in with me. Their health was failing and need additional help for everyday things. In 2014, their health reached at stage where I devoted all my time to taking care of them and my writing/website were put aside. My mom passed June 20th and my dad passed July 8th, 2014. The rest of that year and 2015 were spent setttling their estate.
I yearn for wide open spaces in all areas of my life, I write about characters who find their true fulfillment in community.
