In 2000 on November 8th, Florida began the statewide recount of the 2000 presidential election. We learned ‘chad’ wasn’t just a guy’s name. And we waited patiently for a month to learn who would be our next president. It was all so, well, civilized.

I have a $25 small black & white TV that I keep in my office. I bought it at the HQs store probably 10 years ago. More than anything I was drawn to it because it cost $25 dollars; I was amused that I could buy a TV set for $25.
During the recent Vice-Presidential debate, Governor Palin was asked, ‘What should be the trigger, or should there be a trigger, when nuclear weapons use is ever put into play?’
Last night was one of my proudest moments as an American. I would like to hope that I would have felt that way regardless of my political leanings.
