The Sage Record
Seeking Sage Newsletter No. 4
The leaders of Sage studied news reports from China in December. They saw two things were happening in the community, people were wearing masks and their temperatures were taken every time they entered anywhere.
The president of the Sage College student body, who is studying Chinese, saw a watch which takes your temperature.
The Sage Foundation ordered 20,000 watches for the town. Every who has a Sage Cares card could buy a watch at cost.
The Sage Cares card is a loyalty program for the people of Sage. To qualify for a Sage Cares card, you need a city utilities account. When you shop in a Sage Cares merchant, a small amount of the sale is given to the Sage Foundation. The Sage Foundation provides many services for the citizens and is a key to how the town manages COVID-19.
When the people of Sage are asked how they feel about the lack of testing, they look at their watch and say I’m 37 degrees. They enjoy be able to do something about their circumstances.
I found this watch in the early spring. It took almost four months to get it. I hope it is going to encourage me to write.
More in the future about what they did with masks.
What is the one step you have taken in this time to make you feel like you are doing something in this time.
