This week, in a Bible Study, I studied Isaiah 25. Verses 2 speak of cities.
2 For you have turned the city into a pile of rocks,
a fortified city, into ruins;
the fortress of barbarians is no longer a city;
it will never be rebuilt.
In Biblical commentaries, cities are a symbol of man’s self-sufficiency. In Genesis 11, the people built a city and a tower to make a name for themselves.
Because faith is a core for the leaders in Sage, they are constantly walking this tight rope. Especially in the trying times of facing a pandemic. How do they provide services for the
city, especially, those which needed in the time of a pandemic, and completely rely on God.
It struck me, with COVID-19, taking part in city services, the parks, library, other areas, is one of the things we have been separated from.
How many things do you rely on your city services for? What have you missed most from your city in the last few months?
