Some alternative thoughts on ‘panic buying’
- Families who are expecting their income to end or be diminished during the mitigation period are buying while they have funds.
- Families who typically spend 10-14 hours away from the home are now preparing for the entire family to be at home 24 by 7. Their weekly needs would automatically scale up.
- For the last few weeks, we have been told to prepare by thinking about the things we would most need if we couldn’t get out for two weeks. Why is anyone surprised that toilet paper was the top of the list?
It seems to me the average American has shown more common sense than our officials.
